My name is Bert and before I came into rescue, I was really down on my luck.  My owner, who was a breeder,  dumped me.  I was so skinny from not eating, I was covered in fleas and had all kinds of worms in my stomach.  My hair was even falling out!  Before my owner dumped me, the tags were cut out of my ears so no one would know who I belonged to.  That's why they look like they do.
But my luck has really turned around and now I am so happy.  Just look at my beautiful, shiny coat and my nice physique.  I am calm and lovable and easy to get along with.  I feel like I hit the jackpot!  And I am betting that when you take me home with you, you'll feel like you hit the jackpot, too!  I can't wait until we play together!
