Numchuck is one precious boy who's will to live surprised all of us at ATDR!  He was a shelter dog that we rescued who contracted a terrible upper respiratory infection and almost didn't make it.  He was nursed back to life by his dedicated foster mom and hand fed for weeks when he wouldn't eat on his own.  One of the complications with his infection was a severe eye infection that lead to a detached retina and the pressure and pain was so bad that they recommended removing his eye.  Our little man has bounced back and the surgery was a big success and now he is recuperating and just finished heartworm treatment.   All the odds were against him, yet his will to live has gotten him this far!  Please stay tuned for more on Numchuck - he is a fighter!

 

Update - Chuck has finished his heartworm treatment and is sweeter than his foster mom could ever imagine.  This sweet boy was so sick but now has bounced back and only has a couple weeks more of rest before he is able to go to his forever home!  He is truly our miracle boy and came out of his bad situation better than new!  If you have a heart for the underdog - and a need for a very special buddy - Chuck is the dog for you!
