Dedication to Dr. Herbert and Shirley Wong

Herb Wong, our friend and supporter, lost his battle with cancer.

During the course of rescue, one will meet lots of people: Volunteers, adopters and contributors. Once in a while, you meet those certain ones, who stand out forever as ones who are willing to give of their time and resources whenever called upon. For ATDR, such people are Herbert and Shirley Wong.

Herbert and Shirley live in the Austin area and have been among the strongest of supporters of animal rescue. They have 8 dogs -- All rescues. 2 German Shepherds from Austin German Shepherd Rescue, and 6 Dachshunds. Zeus and Cesar are from Central Texas Dachshund Rescue, Marcus is from Dachshund Rescue of Houston, Gallus from animal control near the Oklahoma border, Achilles from Paws in Kyle, and Mr. Romeo, from the Guadalupe County Humane Society in Seguin.

Herbert has spent his career establishing foundations that have enabled hospitals to be built in and opened in much needed area's world wide. Shirley has spent her career in the medical field as a nurse.

It is with deep admiration and respect that we dedicate All Texas Dachshund Rescue to Herbert and Shirley Wong. God bless you, Herb and Shirley and thank you for all you do for these precious little souls.
