My sweet girl, CiCi, died August 13, 2009 from autoimmune hepalytic anemia at the approximate age of 10 1/2. She is the reason I became involved with dachshund rescue ten years ago.  She is the reason I will continue to rescue helpless dachshunds who need loving homes.  I adopted CiCi from Dachshund Rescue of North America in February 2000.  She was rescued from a horrible puppymill in Missouri and was pregnant.  Christine McEntyre was CiCi's foster mom and she cared for her during her pregnancy and delivery.  CiCi had my heart from the very first day and I will never forget her unconditional love.
