STRONG, COURAGEOUS, DETERMINED.  That is what I am.  My name is Hope, but I'm also known as Honey Bunny.  Don't let that sweet name fool you though.  After suffering a blown disc in my back, I am absolutely determined to get back on my feet and run with the big dogs again.  I have progressed from dragging my back feet behind me, to being able to walk 5-6 steps at a time, and can even stand up at the waterbowl by myself.  Since I am quite concerned about not doing my "business" in the house, I am the first one to the door to be let out.  I am now undergoing acupuncture for my back and am making great progress.  But my acupuncture treatments are expensive, so if you are able to help me pay for them, I would very much appreciate it.  Any donations are a great help and I promise to reward your contribution by working extra hard to get on my feet again.  In the meantime, until I am up and running, I will continue to mother all my foster brothers and sisters by cleaning them; I'll keep my foster mom's lap warm, and I'll work on and show off my new walking skills every day.  Thank you for supporting me in my cause to walk again!!

October 11, 2009 - Hi everyone - I’m making great progress. When my foster mom takes me outside now I need a leash because I scamper all over the place. Granted my ‘walk’ is a little wonky, but I sure can get around.  Also I have runner rugs over the wood floors in the house now so I can get around even more indoors.  I’ve made great friends with one of my foster brothers who apparently has never let anyone but me snuggle with him, except mom of course.  He’s my best buddy and has helped me get stronger and more fearless. There’s nothing I can’t accomplish now, however I do need to continue my acupuncture treatments. If you could contribute to my treatment I’ll show you what a trooper I am.
