Sweet Winnie’s family temporarily left her in the care of a kind lady and then abandoned her never to be heard of again! When contacted, ATDR couldn’t say no to this precious girl. The lady keeping Winnie says she loves snuggling on the couch, chewing on her bone and going for walks...she absolutely LOVES dressing up and wears a vest when enjoying these walks. She’s crate trained but prefers to sleep in a little bed instead. She’s fully pottie trained and has lived in both apartments and houses. Winnie needs to be carried up and down steps and stairs and lifted up and down off of furniture to protect her little back. She’s not fond of other dogs or cats, but warms up to new people after a nice satisfying belly rub!
Winnie does well with older gentle children but had a bad experience with a toddler pulling her ears in her original home and began hiding out when the toddler came around. Poor Winnie, that’s no way to have to live! If you're a retired person or couple or someone who has no smaller children looking for a wonderful companion and best friend to share life with, please submit an adoption application for Winnie. She’s so deserving of a home where she feels safe and cared for and would love you more than you could ever imagine.
