Other Pictures of Otis (click to see larger version):Hi! My name is Otis... and I'd like to tell you my story. I'm about 8 years old, and to be honest, life hasn't always been very kind to me. I was abandoned and ended up in a noisy, overcrowded shelter. I was so scared that people thought I was mean. Truth is... I wasn't aggressive at all. I was just frightened and didn't know who I could trust. Then some nice folks from All Texas Dachshund Rescue came and got me. They took me to my foster mom and dad's house, and something wonderful happened... I realized I was safe. Now everyone says I'm a sweet little gentleman. I'm completely housebroken, I love following my people around, and if you'll let me, I'd be mighty happy sleeping on the big bed with you. It's become one of my favorite places. I do have heartworms, but ATDR is helping me get rid of those pesky things. What I really need now is a family who will love me and understand that sometimes the quietest hearts have been hurt the most. If you'll give me a little patience and a soft place to land, I promise I'll spend the rest of my life showing you just how grateful I am. Love, Otis
