Sterling was found wandering in the Sterling Ridge area of The Woodlands (thus his name) out in a very cold rain storm. He was turned in to a local vet clinic by the good samaritan who found him. The staff at the vet clinic took great care of Sterling and they all fell in love with him; which is easy to do because he is ridiculously adorable and sweet. Sterling is estimated to be 4 mths old. He weighs 6 lbs and is fully vaccinated and neutered. He might grow a little bit more but he should stay small. We don't know Sterling's exact mix of pedigree but whatever it is he scored cuteness in spades. His legs are a wee bit longer and is his ears are a wee bit smaller than a purebred doxie but otherwise he looks like a wire haired dachshund. Perhaps he can go on "Finding Your Roots" or "Who Do You Think You Are?" to discover his family tree? ;o)
This little guy will steal your heart quickly. Sterling is everything a puppy should be: playful, silly, cuddly and fun. He loves people. He plays hard and naps hard. He's doing great with crate training and potty training. He's a smart boy; learned how to use the doggy ramp outside at his foster home in a snap. He loves playing with toys and his foster siblings - even the cranky old doxies in his foster home. Sterling is rip roaring ready to go to his forever home. All he's missing is a big bow on his head because he definitely qualifies as a belated Christmas present. One lucky adopter/family will enjoy a lifetime of love and adventures with this awesome pup.
