Beautiful Lulu is a work in progress. She came from a situation where, sadly, she was neglected and eventually abandoned in the back yard of a rental house when what she thought of as her family moved, never looking back. Consequently, she is timid and a bit skittish. ATDR didn’t miss a beat in taking her into its fold where she is now in a loving foster home with a kind patient foster mom who has been working on making her feel safe and gently coaxing her out of her shell…teaching her it’s all right to trust.
Lulu seems to be fine with the other dogs in the house, although she whines and misses her foster mom when she leaves the room. She may have a bit of separation anxiety that should get better as she feels more secure. This may also be caused by her being left in the yard in another life! She obviously loves her person! She does well in a crate sleeping at night and when her foster mom is at work.
Lulu has been improving daily and her foster mom feels she is now ready to move on to a forever home. If you’d like to be the one to help Lulu continue on her journey to the loving life she’s been learning about in her foster home, please submit an adoption application for her to consider. All she wants is to feel safe and secure with someone kind who will love and protect her…
