Spanky is a super sweet black and tan little man! Sadly, he was surrendered when his owner moved to an apartment that would only allow two dogs. She kept her two puppies and chose to give Spanky to ATDR. Instead of living in the home he’d always known, Spanky is now living in a foster home with three female dachshunds.

Spanky is a very laid back guy who seems to be enjoying being a part of this little pack, even after losing his familiar family. He’s a good boy who enjoys lying on his fluffy doggie bed looking out of the window or playing with his foster siblings, enjoying a game of chase. Spanky is a cuddle bug and wants to sleep with his owner in the big bed. His foster mom is teaching him how to navigate the doggie ramps so he can safely get on and off the bed and couch. Spanky is potty trained and heartworm negative and is currently on a diet to lose a couple of pounds.
