SPECIAL NEEDS!!! Buddy has had a spinal cord injury and has no bowel or bladder control. His penis isn't functional and he has an opening below his anus where he urinates.
Buddy, as his mom calls him, is a young buckaroo looking for his forever home! Buddy was initially found by a good samaritan who turned him into a local veterinarian. He was well cared for by his humans and learned to potty outside like the other cowboys and to retire at night to his kennel. Bubba is not a dominant male...he quickly settled into his new foster home and is playful with the other dogs, so he really wants a friend to play with wherever he goes. The vet thinks he has some kind of traumatic injury that happened when he was young because he doesn't have any feeling in his tail or near his tailbone. It doesn't slow him down a bit! Being approximately two years old, he is full of energy but he also loves to curl up on the couch and snuggle next to his foster parents. Overall, Buddy is an amazing little Doxie with a long healthy life yet to enjoy with a family of his own. Did you notice just how handsome this guy is?
Buddy is recovering nicely from recent surgery where he had his urinary tract rerouted a bit since he didn't have much feeling when he went to the bathroom. He is all fixed now, but has been left with a bit of a leakage issue. He should be ready for a forever home very soon. If you're looking for a great little best friend and companion to share life's adventures with, please submit an adoption application for Bubba! He promises to be the best little shadow you'll ever find!
