Meet Mr. Big! This precious senior boy was dumped by his owner in Galveston. ATDR couldn’t say no when contacted and quickly jumped into action to help this sweet guy. He was suffering from a skin condition and was skin and bones. However, he’s now received much needed veterinary care for his health issues and his wonderful ATDR foster mom has said, “Trust me, skin and bones do not work at my house! I’m Italian and I’ll have him beefed up soon.” He now dines on rotisserie chicken and fresh vegetable for dinner, not “dog food,” and he’s learned how to demand fresh water if his bowl is ever empty! Thank goodness for loving volunteers who step up and take these desperate pups into their homes and their hearts, working hard to make them feel loved and whole again. Mr. Big has improved by leaps and bounds, thriving in this loving environment! He needs to be taken outside to pottie often or sometimes can’t hold it and will pee in the house. He’s well worth this bit of effort…
