Handsome little Peanutty, better known as “Peanut” to closer friends, came to ATDR after sadly being attacked by a much larger dog. What a horrifying thing to happen to a little guy…thankfully, he’s all better now even though he has a bit of a limp. He’s enjoying life in a comfortable foster home where he’s being made to feel loved and safe.

Peanut’s foster mom reports that he is a very sweet boy who loves to "talk" to you (a little growly sound)! Two of his favorite things are lying in the sun and chasing squirrels, so all you squirrels out there better BEWARE! This boy is good with kitty cats, but he would do better as an only dog or maybe with a female dog, but NO MALES for sure! Actually, if he had his way he would prefer not sharing your attention! He’s doing great with his potty manners; he will either go to the door or he will use a potty pad and he’s great when having a bath and his nail trimmed. He really LOVES men…he tolerates his foster mom but never gets excited like when Daddy gets home. He does enjoy lying on the couch next to you watching TV where he'll be looking up and talking to you! The pictures where he's looking up are when he's talking to his foster mom… He’s a really laid-back little guy and would make the perfect companion for an older couple or a couple with no children.
