Say hello to Tucker! This little doll is a one year old special needs Double Dapple who is mostly blind and partially hearing impaired, but that doesn’t slow him down a bit! He plays well with other dogs and is a typical busy puppy, all fun and play! He’s basically fearless and very smart! He loves to cuddle and sleep in the big bed! He is great with the young child in his foster home, so responsible kids are a plus!
A caring individual “acquired” Tucker from someone who had listed him for free on Facebook. Knowing that Tucker could end up in a really bad situation, she reached out to the poster who said she had gotten him a month earlier to also save him from a bad situation but could no longer keep him. With the necessity of working long hours and having big dogs, Tucker’s second savior reached out to ATDR and we quickly said yes to this bundle of cuteness and placed him in a safe and loving foster home.
Dogs with handicaps like Tucker’s can and do adapt easily to their environment. They become familiar with their surroundings and can navigate well when they aren’t exposed to stairs or a pool. Tucker needs a forever home with someone who is retired or works from home...someone who is home most of the time. He also needs a good natured doggy friend to show him the ropes and be his best bud!
If you have it in your heart to provide this precious boy with a well-loved home as a beloved family member, please submit an adoption application for Tucker! He would bring you more joy than you could ever imagine!
