Description:

Meet Luna, our 2024 Eclipse pup! Luna made her way to Houston the night before the total eclipse.  ATDR got the word that this little beauty was paralyzed and needed to go to Safari! She caught a ride on a cat transport and was able to make it to us just in time to celebrate the big event.

Luna had a traumatic back injury 14 months before that was basically untreated.  She was kicked by a horse and unfortunately lost feeling in her hind legs. After being rescued from her plight last year she was treated with medication and cold laser and still no great improvement. In a last ditch effort to "fix her" they contacted ATDR and we agreed to help.

Luna had a CT and the old injury was identified. It appeared old and calcified and we decided that surgery wasn't an option but we tried a round of stem cells to try to help her improve her situation.  Physical Therapy is her next step -- so keep good positive thoughts and let's hope that we will see some improvement soon! No matter what Luna is the perfect girl, petite and adorable. She is happy and well adjusted even unable to walk! We will keep you posted as we follow her journey at Safari.
