Bella is a very sweet senior girl, a total lap dog. She was transferred to ATDR from another rescue. According to Bella's previous foster mom there, Bella did not like a large dog in her previous foster home. The large dog was not aggressive but Bella would get so upset and riled up if the big dog even walked in the room. Getting agitated exacerbated Bella's cough and labored breathing. She has heavy heartworms and a grade 4 heart murmur. She has a rough heartworm cough and is too fragile to undergo heartworm treatment so she has been prescribed the slow kill method. Unfortunately, the damage to Bella's heart has already been done.

ATDR has vowed to do everything possible to improve on Bella's health problems while lovingly caring for her in a comfortable foster home.
