This little cutie is Axel! He lost his home when his mom accepted a job in another country and decided it was best to leave him here. ATDR gladly brought him into its fold where he's now sharing life in a comfortable foster home. His foster mom reports that the change has been a bit frightening to him, but he's basically a sweet boy who gets along well with the other pups in the house. However, he is somewhat toy and food aggressive at first. He is stand-offish with strangers but just seems to take a little longer to warm up! Wherever he lands is going to take a lot of patience and understanding. He was slow to warm up with his foster but after a few days he is like glue.
We recommend a very experienced dachshund home for this little guy!
If you're looking for a handsome boy to share the good things in life with, please submit an adoption application for Axel. At his young age, he will need to know that his person is the leader of the pack, but he's a fun little guy who will mold into a good best friend and companion in the right home.
