Stella was found living in the woods with several other dachshunds where they were obviously dumped by an irresponsible breeder. A kind Samaritan had been feeding them for almost a month and called to ask for help in turning them over to rescue. She is a 12 lb red female about a year old and by some miracle, was heartworm negative and will be available after her spay, in mid-October.

Stella is very bonded to her best friend Lily as they were found in the woods together and have not been more than a foot apart ever since. She depends on Lily for security and they are starting to show signs of being sweet and loving little girls. They are up to date on shots, getting used to people and other dogs again and will be spayed and ready to go in about three-four weeks. Please consider adopting Lily and Stella, they are wonderful and want nothing more than to be safe and loved!
