Description:

Meet Drake, He is what we call a "velcro dog" , he loves his people and he wants to be beside you, at all times.  As you might be able to tell from the photo, he does NOT like the crate and has rubbed a spot on the top of his nose. He is Housetrained!!! No accidents in the house and after a couple of false starts can go in and out the doggie door like a pro.

Drake is a people dog.  He wants to be loved by a person and he wants to be with them all the time.  He is a bit shy at first and trembled when he meets new people at first but seemed to realize that his guests were not going to hurt him and stopped trembling.  With a little patience he gets over his concern and shy introductions.

His foster says...All in all, Drake is an awesome dog.  Especially for someone who wants a companion and not a dog.  He seems to know what a bed is.  He may have slept on a bed in his earlier life.

He plays with other dogs very nicely.  He'd still rather be with his human!  He is a burrower and in this cold weather with his short hair, he loves lots of covers to dive under.  We are working on some manners, He doesn't understand why he isn't allowed to jump up onto the back of the sofa from the floor.  Or fly over the sofa when someone comes to the front door.  But he is smart and *really* wants to please, so I think he'll catch on quickly.  Please help Drake find a home of his own!
