RUDY – a refugee from the Bastrop forest fires.

Rudy, a tan dachsund mix, was found wandering during the disastrous forest fires in Bastrop. He was kept at the Bastrop County Animal Shelter for weeks. After no one arrived to claim him, he moved to a foster family in Austin.

Rudy is approximately 1-1/2 years old, and is learning adult doggie behavior. He has integrated into a 2-dog family as the “young one”.  Rudy is very active in joining the pack’s pursuit of interloping squirrels and other beasties. He is very affectionate and loves attention, although he has learned to accept the fact that he is not “top dog” in this pack.  He will come excitedly when called and travels well.

Rudy needs a new “forever home”. His foster family believes so much that he will make a really nice addition to a forever home that they are willing match part of the adoption fee!
