Description:

Ruth is a lovely chocolate and tan girl with hazel green eyes that will melt your heart! She came to us as an owner surrender from the Houston SPCA. She's between 2 and 3 years, and she looks to have had a litter or two of pups. She's being fostered in North Texas.

Ruth has a lot of spunk; she greets new situations with enthusiasm. She's had a skin infection, which made her hair thin out and caused her to scratch excessively, but she's being treated now and she scratching very little and her hair is starting to grow back in nicely! Ruth loves to be with you, whether it's on a walk on a leash, a ride in the car or a snuggle on the couch! She is a good passenger and she's well behaved in public. She can get a little skittish if she's rushed at by over-excited children, but she recovers well and is patient with them. She gets along well with other dogs, big and small, though she can get a little grabby when it comes to treats (with the other dogs, not her foster mom). It's unknown if she gets along with cats. Ruth is crate trained and coming along nicely with her potty training. She doesn't have access to a doggy door right now, but she could learn to use one in a very short time. She can make herself comfortable in a doggy bed or the big bed. Ruth is a true delight!
