Cookie is a darling girl.  She was given to us when her owner had to go into long term care.  She is quite the little diva!  Demanding to be cuddled and snuggled during TV time.  She can behave herself in a crate but sure loves to sleep in the big bed becuase she loves her humans!!  Don't let her age and size fool you, this little one has a lot of energy and a big personality!  She also loves the backyard - - running around like a blue streak playing chase with the other larger dogs!  She absolutely loves plaing with her stuffies and can even entertain herself with them as she tosses them across the room and pounces!  Hysterical!!  Cookie is also very housetrained and uses a doggie door!!!  She gets along with her foster siblings but really needs to be the only pup around or paired with a very calm dog who will not play rowdy with her and who is easy going, because Cookie likes to be the boss of all the goings on!  She would make a great apartment dog as she is so small and does excellent on a leash.

UPDATE FEB 2013:  Cookie is currently on several weeks of crate rest after too much hard play with a bigger dog has made her a bit sore.  We are always worried about doxie backs so she is under strict rest until the vet clears her.  She is available for adoption but cannot go to a new home until she is cleared @ March at the earliest.  She is doing well and bossing everyone from her crate.
