Description: Hi, my name is Lucas. I was rescued by a nice lady who found me on the streets in the Second Ward trying to eat from a trash can. She took me to my foster home with ATDR where I am spending quality time getting to know the other dogs, playing in the yard and snuggling with the people. This is WAY better that the street!! I am very sweet and always want to be in my foster mom's lap giving sweet kisses while I help her watch TV. Lucas is crate trained and sleeps in an open crate with his foster sisters. He also uses the doggy door and loves to be outside chasing squirrels, cats, and tennis balls. Lucas is high energy until he just plays himself out. He enjoys cuddling and playing with his foster sisters. He doesn't like riding in the car; he doesn't get sick but he cries some. His foster mom is working with him on leash training. You have to be careful with Lucas when opening the front door or he'll take off. He's still a young guy and has a lot to learn.
Lucas has a few small scars, believed to have been mange at some point in his young life, but all his skin tests have been negative. A good diet of Blue Buffalo puppy food has his coat looking full and beautiful. Lucas is very sweet and loyal. He is fully vetted and neutered and ready to go to his forever home.
