Description:

Mia is beautiful and likes to be called “Javelina” or “Lina” because of her Wild Boar coloring.  She is a joyful, exuberant youngster who loves to cuddle just as much as she loves to run. When she is hunting lizards or squirrels, she is athletic & fierce!  When she comes inside, she likes to be held in your arms like a baby, or sit in your lap and look up at you.  She’s affectionate and when she gives a kiss, her breath is fresh because her teeth are so clean.

She is house-trained and crates beautifully without complaint. If you prefer not to crate at night, she behaves and will sleep in her own bed.  We have let her sleep some with us, and she is quiet and still all night, deep beneath the blankets at our feet. She enjoys a warm shower, and does not fuss at all, even when we wash her ears or brush her teeth.

Lina is not needy, but does follow us from room to room quite a bit owing to her bright curiosity and passion for adventure. She mostly ignores our dachshund – but she does run and hunt with him a bit in the yard.  She is improving in her socialization with him however, as long as he lets her be the boss. Lina is very smart, learns quickly and eagerly, and wants to get it right! She is currently studying basic voice and hand commands, and proper leash etiquette.  She shares her time with foster mom and dad equally and unabashedly tells us she is overjoyed to see us, every time she sees us.
