Jolie is a wirehaired dachshund mix who was rescued from a shelter with her mom and sister. She is a beautiful red color and she is mostly dachshund but she is a little long-legged and has a cute little curly, terrier tail. So she is likely some sort of dachshund-terrier mix. As such, she is very playful and curious. She loves to play with her toys--her favorites are her chew toys--and she dearly loves to wrestle with other puppies her age. She is incredibly smart. She learned in one day how to open a wire crate that has a 2-step closure! She did some problem-solving and figured that one out in short order. So--when she is crated she goes in a plastic taxi with a different sort of closure. Problem solved, at least for foster mom! She has successfully completed her crate-training. She has no accidents overnight and she enjoys eating all her meals in her little house.
Jolie craves lots of affection. When she is not playing and running, she wants to be right next to her human with her paw or nose touching. She responds very well to positive training and she could probably learn obedience or agility very quickly. She walks well on a leash. She learned the rules of her new home very quickly when she moved in with her foster . She is a very happy little girl who is longing for the security of a loving, permanent home. She has the most beautiful, loving eyes and when she looks at you, you just feel like she is staring into your soul.
Jolie is spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on shots. She is good with other dogs but not tested with kids or cats.
