Description: In the Christmas picture Millie is on the left and Lucy on the right.
UPDATE 05/18/15 - Lucy (left) and Millie are a bonded pair of females---maybe mother and daughter, maybe sisters or just housemates. They came into animal control together and are just inseparable. They are crate-trained, and they eat alone in side-by-side crates. But, when nightfall comes, they have to be crated together or else they will not sleep at all. They are used to sleeping in a wire crate with warm blankies inside, and a crate cover that is closed up and zipped tight at night.
During the day Lucy likes to explore the yard on her own, but she frequently seeks out Millie just to check in. Millie, on the other hand, just wants to be held! She is very dependent on Lucy, though--they both search each other out while exploring, and when nap time comes they will be found on the big bed, curled up in a ball together. As long as they are together, they will accept any and all other dogs in the doggie pile.
Lucy might be the more independent of the two. Even so, she is constantly checking on Millie's whereabouts. Millie CANNOT tolerate being away from her, though. When they are separated, Millie is in a panic. So, they will have to be adopted together.
They are fully vetted and HW-. Lucy has a Grade I heart murmur, but she does not require medication for this. She is an active and happy girl, and she is looking for a great home where she and Millie can be happy together.
Millie is 4 yrs old, 14 lbs. spayed, HEARTWORM NEGATIVE, crate-trained and ready to go. She is still very nervous in her new foster home, but is starting to trot around displaying a tentative tailwag. She is a little chunky and could stand to lose a pound or so. Millie is very sweet and loves attention and affection.
Millie is part of a bonded pair with Lucy whom we believe to be her mother and they must be adopted together.
