Zoey is a Dachshund / Chihuahua mix that was rescued from a Houston area shelter after her owners decided they could no longer keep her.  She is about 2 years old and is such a friendly girl!  She does very well with the other dogs in her foster home and pays no attention to the cat that lives there.  Zoey would love a playmate that is close to her age but she is also respectful of older dogs.  She is good with gentle children and loves everyone she meets.  This smart girl has learned to use the doggy door and is reliable in the house once she learns the schedule.  She stays gated in the breakfast area with a couple of her house mates when her foster parents are at work.  She is not destructive and does not chew on things.  Zoey does enjoy toys and will take treats nicely from your hand.  Please consider adding this intelligent girl to your family!
