Description:

Meet sweet Reggie. This little guy was found by a lady who thought he’d been hit by a car. When ATDR was contacted, a caring volunteer immediately picked him up and rushed him to the vet. Fortunately, he had no open wounds, broken bones or internal injuries, but he did have a lot of pain in his lower back and hips. It is uncertain whether he was actually hit by a car or was kicked by a mean person since when his foster mom moved toward him too quickly, he would run. At that time, he was fairly skittish, but he’s definitely come out of his shell and is quickly learning how to trust again…the more he does, the more of a love bug he becomes. Reggie gets along well with grown people and responsible children who are not toddlers. He also gets along great with other doggies and he’s pee-pad trained which is awesome. From the very first time sleeping in the big bed, he snuggled his foster mom like Velcro the entire night never moving once. He’s going to be such a loving little guy in the right home!

Sadly, Reggie has tested positive for heart worms and is facing treatment so he won’t be ready to go for about three months. While he’s recovering, he’ll be reviewing adoption applications in search of the perfect loving forever home.

If you’re looking for a devoted best friend and companion to adore and share life with, please submit an adoption application for Reggie. He’s dreaming of having his own person or family who will love and protect him the rest of his life and he'll be ready before you know it!
