Meet Pebbles! When contacted, ATDR couldn’t say no to this precious girl in need. She’s now settled into a loving foster home receiving the veterinary and personal care she’s been needing, and her foster mom reports that she’s the best little girl, sleeps through the night in a doggie bed, is completely pottie trained and is not a barker! She gets very excited when she’s told it’s time for dinner! Her cute dachshund personality comes out when she wants a treat...she "campaigns" for them!
Pebbles is still in the process of having a few health issues addressed by the vet so won’t be ready to go for a while. We’ll report more here when we know more…
It is felt that Pebbles should go only to an adult home with no children. She’s a very independent girl and pretty much not playful and not much of a snuggler. She would not appreciate having her space invaded by toddlers or younger children. Older responsible teenagers would probably be okay with her.
In the meantime, we do know that she’s dreaming of a person or family to call her own who will love and gently care for her where she’ll never be homeless again. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend and companion to share life with, please submit an adoption application for Pebbles. She’s ready and waiting to fill your heart with an abundance of love and happiness…
