Mr. Wiener is a handsome fellow who lost his home when his owner died and he was surrendered to rescue.  This guy is sweet and loving, and will make someone deserving the best companion dog ever.  Wiener does prefer a quiet home with no small children.  He is spunky and occasionally likes to play a respectable game of chase with the younger dogs and pouncing on squeaky toys.  He does ask that they respect his mature outlook on life and refrain from stealing his toy or climbing and bouncing on him while he is having his siestas.  He is certainly young at heart but does enjoy snuggling in laps and being petted and scratched...affectionately nuzzling your hand if your attention wanders.  He is sleeping well in his crate but would much prefer to snuggle close in the big bed.  Wiener has not decided how he feels about cats in his kingdom but like any doxie, he is a hunter and chaser of small furry things.  Wiener is fully vetted, heartworm negative and had a very recent dental, so he is ready to go to his new forever home today!
