Description:

Lucky is a sweet and loving longhaired dachshund mini that was surrendered due to lack of time and interest by his family.  He was once a beloved family member but times change and they were not able to give him the time, love or vetting that he clearly deserved.  Stay tuned for more information on this sweet boy who is LUCKY to have a new life where he can find the home of his dreams! 

From his foster mom:
Meet Lucky.  He's the new owner surrender I picked up on Good Friday.  He was vetted the same day.  The religious holiday must have been working in his favor because he tested HW negative. :)  He came to us neutered so now that he's fully vetted he's ready to go.  Lucky is 5 yrs old and weighs 12 lbs.  According to his former owner, he's good with all people and cats too.  She also said Lucky was "best friends" with the 3 yr old child in the family so he's good with kids.  Lucky is very sweet and prefers human companionship over canine companionship.  He's used to being an only dog so he pretty much ignores the other dogs in his foster home.  He follows his foster mom everywhere and lays down wherever she is.  Lucky is a lap dog with a little bit of cat mixed in for good measure - as you can see from the pictures of him on the back of the couch.  Lucky has beautiful, unique black and silver markings throughout his long, soft coat.  He's a very cute boy.  Lucky appears to be house trained and I'm working on crate training him.  I'm sure he's used to sleeping in the big bed with humans and he would prefer to have that arrangement again.  Lucky is a great little dog who will make his adopter(s) feel very lucky
